Security tab

By Mr. Beast ·
While I was out of the office my assistant did something to the file server and now I can't find my security tab under any of the directories permissions. I know that it is not too difficult to do this but I just can't remember how. I have looked at everything I can think of, this is driving me crazy.

Just a thought, Is the file server NTFS or FAT if it is FAT that would be the reason you don't see the security tab. If it is FAT, convert it to NTFS and then your security tab will show up again.

The Security tab, used to manage permissions of files and folders on an NTFS partition, is controlled by %SystemRoot%\System32\Rshx32.dll. Normally, everyone has read permission to this file and Administrator has Full Control.

To hide the Security tab, simply remove permissions from the everyone group and add appropriate permissions to selected users and/or groups.

You will need to restart your computer.

Thus you can follow the vice - Versa and get the security tab working.

Let me know if you need any other help..
