seeking web-interface task/to-do list

By nwcdd ·
I'm trying to set up web-based interface to
list multiple tasks to be done by content producer on his/her shift.
Need to be able to prioritize, separate by category, add catagories, include notes and related info.
Producer could mark items as done without deleting/changing what supervisor writes.
Freeware is best for my budget.
Thanks

Sounds like a problem best solved with a web database. If you are using a Microsoft web server you can use ASP to interface with Microsoft database connectors. i.e DAO, RDO, ODBC. This allows you to use Access as the underlying database, or any other ODBC compliant database.

If your using an Apache server on Linux you can use Perl, and or PHP to access databases. Databases that are free or are pretty darn free on Linux are MySQL and PostGRES.

If you want a more all in one solution then go with Instabase. Instabase is an all in one Windows web database solution and is less than a $100.CDN It has won many industry awards.
