Segate HDD 120 gb USB not Detecting in Win98

Dear Experts,

Recently i purchased an segate HDD 120GB usb. It is detecting in my office which runs in winxp but in house i am using win 98 pentium3 machine it is not detecting the usb device. Kinldy let me know 2things.

1.Whetehr My home computer win98 pentium3 support the USB2 Hardware? How to check the same?

2.Which driver i have to update ?

Generally when we plug an usb device it should ask for driver. But here it is not detecting the usb 120gb hdd.

Please help with a valuable answer. I am not so expert in computer.
