seizeing & transfering operation masters

can we change the role of forest specific roles like Schema Master & domain Master to another domain controller ?

what is the difference between seizing a role & transfering a role ? what happens when i sieze a operations masters role ? say if iseize a role of PDC emulator or RID master how do i bring it back ??
