select all pdf's but not all print

By RG11 ·
I have xp pro, 256 ram, 1.1 MHz, adobe 7.0. I have a network folder which will have around 37 PDF files at 3kb each totaling about 78kb for the entire folder. Now the user will select all 37 files in this folder then select print. They are only getting about 30 or so that print off. What would cause this? memory issue?
When I looked the physical memory was 261424, virtual memory was 2097024kb. Available physical memory 51340kb and available virtual memory 2003820kb.???

I forgot to mention that the printer is a HP laserjet 8150dtn with 32MB ram installed and networked through a HP jet direct box....

Not sure why this happens but I had the same problem a while back. Folder of about a two dozen Word documents, selected all, and print. Less than 1/2 of them printed. I then selected about 5 at a time and printed them in groups... they all printed.
Yes I think you're right reguarding the memory issue... or should I say, the Windows' way of "properly" releasing memory to make it available to the rest of the system. Try smaller batches.

Good Luck.

I, too, would suggest smaller batches for a different reason.

The driver software is often set up to quit a job if it is not
completed within a certain amount of time.
