Sending Internet mail to Exchange Users

by bporter . Updated 25 years, 6 months ago

We are running Exchange 5.5 on an NT 4.0 box. I have setup out user’s accounts to access both internet mail as well as our local mail. Exchange will check our internet mail at the ISP only when the user is logged into the network.

When we try to send and internet message to a user who is out of the office, Exchange is sensing who we are sending to and sends it to the local account. Sending internet email to non-exchange users is working fine.

Is there a way to disable the ‘sensing’ andallow us to send internet email to our users so they can retreive out of the office?

TIA,

Byron
