Sendmail (-DSASL) issue

by tdsan . Updated 21 years, 9 months ago

Starting sendmail: 554 5.0.0 /etc/mail/sendmail.cf: line 166: readcf: map access: class hash not available
Warning: Option: AuthMechanisms requires SASL support (-DSASL)
Warning: Option: AuthOptions requires SASL support (-DSASL)
Warning: Option: CACertPath requires TLS support
Warning: Option: CACertFile requires TLS support
Warning: Option: ServerCertFile requires TLS support
Warning: Option: ServerKeyFile requires TLS support

I am running 2.4.20-31.9 #1 Tue Apr 13 18:04:23 EDT 2004 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

Installed sendmail using rpm:

sendmail-8.13.1-2.i686.rpm

The error messages is what I am getting when I run sendmail with:
FEATURE(`access_db’,`hash -T -o /etc/mail/access.db’)dnl

It seems that this is a recurring problem. I was running 8.13 and upgraded. I had the same problem with the earlire version.

What do I need to do using rpm to compile the sendmail software using -DSASL.

I have these items installed as well:
cyrus-sasl-plain-2.1.10-5
cyrus-sasl-2.1.10-5
cyrus-sasl-md5-2.1.10-5
cyrus-sasl-devel-2.1.10-5

Please advise.

Todd
