Serial/Access Servers

by JasonC In reply to Serial/Access Servers

Is there a special reason for needing a Serial/Modem combination?

Most "current" technology that I've come across seems to be ISDN-2 or ISDN-30 based, and uses "digital modems" to talk to PSTN devices. Of course ISDN is native.

If that suits, you could try a Cisco Access Server, or even a 3620/3640 router with a PRI/ISDN Card, and a MICA Modem Card.

Good Luck,

Jason.
