I currently have a DC running 2000 and a member server running 2003 and Exchange. I want to promote my 2003 server and set it up to become the DC, eventually removing the 2000 server altogether. I appreciate it is not a good idea to have Exchange on a DC, but at this stage I don’t have an option. I am mainly looking for confirmation of the process as seen by others. I’m thinking, dcpromo the 2003 server, then demote the 2000 (obviously simplistically).
