    by iasaber79 ·

I have created a test lab in VMware workstation 5.5. I have 2008 server as DC, I have a server 2008 with no roles assigned or anything and a XP machine. Whenever I start the XP machine it catches a 10.x.x.x IP address from a DHCP I must go into control panel and stop the DHCP service and restart then it catches an IP address of from the First server I have set up as the DC with DHCP installed and running. addresses of thru 254. Why is the XP machine getting the 10.x.x.x IP address?

Perhaps you may need to disable DHCP service on host computer
