Server 2008/Vista Drivers

by slatimer76 . Updated 18 years, 1 month ago

I am setting up a small office and am using a single HP network printer attached to the network. I found the 2008 x 64 drivers on HP’s site, installed and printed. All went well. I shared the printer out, and am able to attach to the network printer with XP. This is working great. My issue arises when I try to map the same printer in Vista. This tells me the incorrect drivers are installed, and I am not able to install them. When I try to use the drivers I downloaded, Windows tells me they are not the correct drivers. When I install the printer locally on the Vista machine, by pointing directly to the IP address, all works correctly. Does anyone know of any drivers that will give me the printing functionality on Vista with a network printer? I am trying to set this up with a login vbs script, so I really need to functioning drivers. Any assistance would be appreciated.
