Server hanging

By itsdirect ·
After browsing the internet on a client and closing the browser, the server hangs and has to be rebooted. The conection to the Internet is via an ISDN line to the server. this happens every time. Any assistance would be most appreciated

Server hanging

Take a look at your task manager(applications) to see what is actually hanging the server- you should be able to end task it.

Use the task manager and look at what process' are running (especially taking up CPU cycles)

Ask your self what has been installed or upgraded lately before all this started.

Does the server have enough RAM? (No server ever has enough!)

If the browser was IE- reinstall or repair it.

Can you give me more input about this call.
Is it users are browsing from server or from PC by some other media i.e. wingate proxy is installed in the server and cline are browsing from ther workstation. if not.
Than after configuration of ISDN modem and RAS have you reapplied the service pack or not and is it you are using IE 4.0 with SP1 or netscap if IE than reload IE 4.0 with SP1 again it will solved this problem.
