I am the network administrator for a small office with 10 workstations. We are running a windows 2000 exchange server with two RAID drives.
My problem is this. For some reason, the keyboard input is frozen. I can't get past the admin login screen to do a programmed reboot. I've tried to login and reboot remotely but I cannot login that way either. I've also tried installing another keyboard without any success. The problem seems to be on the controller board.
What are the risks of simply shutting the power off the server and rebooting? I have backed up critical data to another workstation as a precaution.
I'm pretty new at this and I don't want to screw anything up although I don't see a lot of options.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions offered.
