We currently have about 1000 users that are running 16 Mb token ring. We are planning changing over to Ethernet. We will have some servers on Gigabit Ethernet and some on 100 Mb Ethernet. Is there a white paper, case study or personal experience as to what speed to set the client computers at as to not overload the servers? Should the client pcs be set at 10/half, 10/full, 100/half, or 100/full?
