Server Manager Permissions

By khaled ·
I want to let non domain admins and non administrators, lets say the Accounts Operators on my domain to be able to create shares on the domain through the server manager ! is there a way that i can change some keys in the registry to add this right to my Accounts Operators and let them administer the server manager?

Go into User Manager/Policies/User Rights
Check the "Show Advanced User Rights" box.
Find "Create Permanent Shared Object" (I think this is the one you want). Click "Add". Find the group you want to grant this right to and click "Add" and "OK"

of course that what I've tried from the begining, but it didnt help, I think there must be some way through the registry using the regedt32 to set permissions for a certain group other than the domain admins and administrators to be able to administer shares using the server manager ! thats what I'm looking for, anybody can help out ?

Create a new global (domain) group such as "SADMINS" (Share Administrators)

Add this group to the server operators group.

Oh, I forgot to add that you need to add the user's account(s) to the SADMINS group.
