Server not configured for Transaction

am running windows 2000 advanced server on X200 series IBM server. I can access all other workstations from the server. The only problem is that no workstation can access any shared hardware though shared folders can be accessed and opened. If I try opening the domain, i get the following msg “Server not configured for Transactions” Any help will be appreciated.
