Server Reports

I was wondering if there is any particular server software for NT which monitors server uptime and is able to actually generate reports from statistics gathered? Any help is appreciated.

There are a couple of options with third-party software, but the Performance Monitor that comes with NT Server is capable of capturing that data in a log file format.

However, the native reporting capabilities are somewhat primitive. But depending on exactly what data you want, it is very easy to import the log file into a spreadsheet or Access database and create a nicely formatted report.

srvinfo.exe(in the resource kit)should be able to give you the info you need. You can write a script to redirect the output to a text file then use Excel to play with the data. Good Luck.
