Server Room Design

by gbuser7 . Updated 18 years, 9 months ago

I am in a couple of months going to be networking a building that has a server room in it and also be providing a connection to the other clients in the 3 story building.

The server room is going to have 6 racks. 1 is for core network and 5 racks for servers. The total number of servers is going to be about 150.

There is a total of 12 clients in the 3 story building. Each of the clients will have there own switch in the wiring closet on each floor. This means there will be a total of 12 fiber optic cables coming from the server room.

What would be the best way to network everything together(servers, and clients). I would like to use all cisco switches. I would like a detailed plan not just generic crap.

Thanks,
Stephen
