Hi all,
I am just wondering if anyone has had this issue, and if a fix/workaround has been found. Here is the issue:
Last night I had some late night maintenance to perform on a remote server. Upon completing the maintenance, a reboot was required to finalise. I selected “restart” from the dialog box and waited ten minutes or so before trying to remotely log back in to the server – but what do you know, it had shut down on me! The OS is Standard Server 2003….
I ensured I selected “restart” from the dialog box, but it still shut down. I ended up having to log into the Remote Access Card to reboot the server to complete the maintenance.
Has anyone experienced similar, or even found any information regarding this? If I can save this hassle by ensuring a proper restart of the machine it would save a fair but of time.
Thanks for your thoughts all
