Server upgrade

By oromo1 ·
I have exchange 2000 up and running. The file server I have is NT4.0. What precoutions and steps do I have to take to upgrade the file server to w2k? Do I have to do anything on the exchange server when I upgrade the file server?

Make sure you have a good backup of the data, and get any Win2K drivers for your hardware. Then let the upgrade go. You shouldnt have anything to worry about with Exchange2000. Ex2k is on a seperate machine, and to have it installed you must already have AD running. So go for it.
