I have a Server with an Intel Xeon mainboard with a 1 100Mhz Nic and a 1 One Gig Nic. When I plug the second Nic (in this case the 1 Gig) into the switch, the computer pops up with a error stating that two computers with the same name exist on the network… I have run two nics in a windows 2000 server many times without this error. This server happens to be Windows 2003.
