Is the Win2K3 Server a domain controller, or not?

If not, then just right-click on My Computer -> Properties -> Computer Name tab -> Change button.

From there, you can select Domain, and put in the name of your Windows domain.

You will need to reboot for this to take effect.
      hope this helps

      Install DNS [Domain Name System].

I take it that when you “browse” the network via My network Places, entire network, Microsoft Windows Network, what you see is “Workgroup” as the network. To make your Windows 2003 Server into a Domain Controller for a network domain, you can create the domain via installing DNS {Domain Name System}. That can be done by adding that component via Add/remove programs, add/remove windows components.
