Service Broker

Thank you Tim Chapman for the article “Use Service Broker Internal Activation in SQL Server 2005”. I have been struggling for some time understanding Service Broker. My manager wants me to learn it and to see if we can incorporate it into our application. It has ordering, shipping, invoicing, billing, client profiles, employee profiles, inventory, order entry, routing, etc. My question. For this type of application would you use Service Broker to insert into tables to prevent concurrency issues? When would Service Broker be best used in an application like the one I described?
