Service pack 2

hey i have tried to uninstall service pack 2 but have had no success. i tried to locate the $ntservicepack$ file in the windows directory and i have also tried to remove it in add and remove programs. i have view hidden files and folders selected in the windows directory and i also have show updates selected in add and remove programs.
