Set IP Address from Command Line

By jfruits ·
Hello, I have several sales reps who go to trade shows and from time to time need static IP Addresses for their laptops. I am looking for a command-line program, or a similar method which I could preconfigure for them to set their IP Address, SubnetMask, DNS Servers, and default gateway.

Does anyone know of anything that can do this?

Thanks!

The Windows 2000 Resource Kit has a tool called Netset.exe and this is a command line tool that can be scripted. It is not provided as a free tool and the resource kit will have to be purchased. The kit is a great addition to any administrator whosupports Windows.
A KB article kbinfo KB268781 describes the tool and how to use it.
