setting password

1)i want to know in nt(server or workstation) machine to set a password so that when people accessing my computer their should
get message for user name and password.

2)iam having one movie cd ,when i play
the cd in 95/98 it is working ,but in nt it is not working ,in the nt sound driver are installed,not only this cd any movie cd is not working tell me solution ,immediate please.

I assume you're not on an NT domain, and want some username other than the administrative one.

Click on [Start]-[Programs]-[Admin Tools] and launch UserManager. With this you can setup local usernames and passwords for that NT workstation. In this you can set the desired security for each username you setup.

I belive you need more than sound drivers to place a "movie" cd. Win9x handles multimedia a lot better than NT. You'll need to find drivers specifically for playing these.

NT does not support DVDs.
You'll need win2000.
