Setting the Onboard NIC’s to be default in Secure Checkpoint

by akshaydere . Updated 18 years, 8 months ago

Hello,

I have a HP DL380 server where I have 2 onboard NIC’s & 1 PCI Express Quad Port Gigabit Server Adapter.

I have installed Secure Checkpoint R65 on the box but when I look at the ‘ ifconfig -a ‘, I see the quad cards ports to be set as ‘ eth0 , eth1 , eth2 & eth3’. What I want to have is the onboard NIC’s to be set as ‘ eth0 & eth1 ‘ respectively.

I tried changing the IRQ values in BIOS but to no help.

Kindly advise.

Regards,
Akshay Dere.
