Setting up home network with Windstream DSL

by dstaehr . Updated 18 years, 9 months ago

I am supporting a residential client using Windstream DSL. The setup involves a Speedstream 4200 dsl modem/router, a Linksys WRT54G Wireless broadband router connecting two computers, one via ethernet cable the other via wireless connection. What is the best way to set this connection up. I cannot get connectivity when I hook up the Linksys WRT54G to the Speedstream 4200. I have tried setting up the Speedstream 4200 in bridge mode and letting the Linksys WRT54G act as the DHCP server.
