I know I have been asking alot of questions lately, but here is another. I am a student and I have the assignment of putting together a NAT W/ICS at home. I use AOL broadband on a PPPoE network, I have a DELL 8200 p4@2ghz and an AMD k62@300mhz, I have a NIC in both. I have a P2p “Network” set up between the two. All is good there. Due to the PPPoE I wasnt able to set up ICS using just software ( I should mention that I had a 16 port switch in place to connect the two systems. ) SO my instructorbought me a small router/brouter, it is a compusa DSL Broadband router, which has an internal 4port switch, so now I have my small p2p up and running with that. I have set the router up for PPPoE but when I try to connect through the router I am unable to, ie: —>TA—>router—->NIC. I am able to connect otherwise ie: TA—->NIC. Also when I connect and do an IPCONFIG /all, I get a different IP, Gateway and DNS number everytime I connect. I am not sure how to configure the router for this. I hope this is enough information but if anyone needs more I will happily supply it. I am lost.
