Setting up prelogon wireless authentication.

By cjones ·
We have a wireless network in place using Cisco AP's, and we use RADIUS (MS IAS) for user authentication. We have a group policy in place that will configure the settings necessary to access the wireless network once they user is logged onto the network (The policy configures SSID, authentication, encryption settings, and EAP type).

This is what we are trying to accomplish. Once our desktop services team images a machine and joins it to a domain, we would like to be able to give that laptop to a user, and they are able to log onto the laptop over wireless. The issue we have right now is that the users credentials need to be cached on the laptop before they can log onto the wireless network. I was thinking the "authenticate as computer when computer information is available" would suffice, but did not know if that would fix this issue.

All of our laptops are XP as well.
