Setting up shared folders in a common PC

Is it advisable to setup shared folders using a common computer running windows 10? Will it be able to give different access rights?

The PCs in the company (6 in total) are currently not networked to each other, only to the router. There is no server. Everyone just login to their own PC.

I have proposed using cloud to share folders and collaborate costing $5 per person. He is thinking it is unnecessary to outsource.

There is a “spare” computer among the 6 that is not yet assigned to somebody. I am not a network person but a programmer. Is it a monumental task to use the common pc to create shared folders with difference user groups and access rights. Will the person loggin into the common pc be able to see all the files in all the folders which we dont want.

I dont even know how to start googling. Do i need to setup network for all the PCs?

    Thanks.
