The best way I know of is using DHCP for the addressing. As far as windows ME I have been unsuccessfull. Once installed it would ask me for the username and password every 4-6 seconds. Pain/Gave up. As far as win2k I have a mchine on an NT domain and setup was painless, as long as Dhcp is running on the server.regarding winme I feel it is Microsofts blunder and also not designed with the structure and security of a secure networking enviornment.

If you are looking for the network indentification settings, in Win2k they are now found under My computer. Right-click my computer and choose the network indentification tab. Here you can set the workgroup or add the computer to a domain.
