setting up Win2000 server to be a router

by ejtewsjr . Updated 25 years, 3 months ago

I am setting up a small home network. I currently have 2 PC’s, one server and one workstation. Ther Server is loaded with Win2000 Server, and the workstation is win98(soon tobe Win2000 Professional). I have set up DHCP and DNS, I think the DNS works. From the workstation(win98) I am able to ping, the server’s local NIC as well as the NIC connected to the cable modem. I can also ping the gateway of my ISP and the ISP DNS Server. However I can not open any pages on the internet or ping any web sites by IP address. Can anyone help? My ISP is ATT@home. EJ
