I have a client whose server is running 03 SBS R1 SP2. The initial setup of the Internet and E-mail Wizard settings worked fine until receintly. I discovered that the e-mail provider, Qwest, upgraded their e-mail systm to provide additional security. The default Wizard setting no nonger work. Qwest’s e-mail format is now in the form of someone@qwestoffice.net. I was told by Qwest tech support that the outgoing settings must be set to smtp.qwestoffice.net using the master account and password. The port to be used on the smtp.qwestoffice.net server is 597. After digging around on the Internet I found that I could setup the master account in the Advanced tab of the SmallBusiness SMTP connector properties. But there is no provision for changing the port. So I changed the virtual SMTP protcol port from 25 to 597. But that appears not to have worked. How can I accomplish setting up SBS to work in this new email situation?
