Setting WEP key at the command line? (Windows XP)

by thegear . Updated 15 years, 3 months ago

I’ve re-encountered a bug that went away for 6 months but has returned: My wife’s XP SP3 system can’t remember its WEP key across a reboot. I’ve given her a procedure to set it, but she (not a techie) finds it tedious and annoying. I’d prefer to set up a script that would accomplish the same thing in a couple of mouse clicks, but I’ve found nothing in the ipconfig, shell, or powershell docs that would indicate that this is even possible. Suggestions?

Many thanks.
