Sexuality choices – TV for Dummies

by oz_media . Updated 17 years, 10 months ago

At a friend’s house a commercial came on last night for the Tyra Banks show, I know, but it was just a commercial not the show itself, thank god.

they were looking for participants for an upcoming show on gay and lesbian people.

“I WANT TO BE AN EX-GAY
Are you a gay man or lesbian who wants to be straight? Do your friends or family disagree with your gay lifestyle and wish you were straight? If you ever wish you could erase your same-sex attractions and not be gay, SUBMIT BELOW.”
(the other themes are no more clever than this one). http://tyrashow.warnerbros.com/beontheshow/

So this puts forth an age old concept which has been proven incorrect, ‘being gay is a choice’ but also contradicts itself at the same time.

If you are gay, and it really is a choice (as they suggest), WHY wouldn’t you be able to make a choice to be straight if you wanted to?

If you are attracted to the opposite sex, how can you possibly claim to be gay or live a gay lifestyle? peer pressure? 😀

How pathetic that is.

What’s even mroe pathetic is that people will actually tune in to watch this tripe, the same people that vote for the leaders of our nations and work with/around or even MANAGE us.

What ever happened to culling the herd, or when people as stupid as this were kept as village idiots to be paraded in town and used as a laughing stock to cheeer everyone up with their idocy?

I know that TV shows like this need to be taken witha little ‘Jerry Springer salt’, but people KNOW that Jeery is just a joke of a show. It is late night TV these days, with bout bells and referees as they playe don the fact that these redkneck nominds just wanna beat up their cousin for screwing their other cousin.

Tyra is someone many women admire, she has gained credibility, like Oprah, people listen to her, get faith from her support etc. Now it seens that she, as with all other failing talk show hosts, have stopped to airing pure garbage just for an interesting title.

I am now very thankful that I recently cancelled all of my TV channels, if it aint free with the built-in antennae, I don’t get it anymore. As I only watch movies in the evening and, any new TV series which I find funny, I can download and watch on my own time “Its always sunny in Philidelphia”, “Little Britain”, “my worst Week” etc. What’s th point in paying in excess of $100.00/mo to fund the garbage that runs all day when I am at work?

Why pay a cable bill? I don’t watch regular TV.
