sFLOW Applications

By CajunFoxtrotter ·
Recently I was invited to view a demonstration of network management that included the use of sFLOW to monitor network traffic.

Has anyone deployed a network monitor using sFLOW and freeware or shareware?

What are your thoughts on it? How well does it work and does it do what you want it to?

I've never used sFLOW (actually never heard of it). I usually stick to LANguard (they have a huge array of new products out now), and I also like to use solarwinds. To be honest, if you really want to try stuff out before you buy it, just go to a warez site and search for network management tools, try it out and if you like it buy it.

I am likely to be flamed for suggesting you do this, but my reasoning is that they make this software so expensive (partly because of thiefs that do not purchase the software if they like it-I know), it's such a shame to buy something and not like it. Therefore, I try software before my company wastes money on it.
