share dailup connection onnetwork.

we are a bit restrain in trinidad ,with dailup connection at 56k. to server, i need to share this connection over 10 work stations.how do i ensure that each work station get's even bandwith.what software can i use to enhance my 56k. connection at server?

You'll need a Packateer to do the job. Its expensive hardware, but the best there is. One box would be around 3500 $

Wingate works well for this purpose ,u can just monitor the data transfer on periodic basis .This can be a cost effective solution.

If your only option is a 56k dial-up connection, you are going to experience severe bandwidth shortages. I had a reomte office (6 users) that did not have access to DSL or cable and it would not have been cost effective for any other connection.
After using the dial-up connection for 2 months, we had to look for a replacement solution. The 6 users were experiencing outages, slow responses, packet loss, etc. at an unacceptable rate.
As most of the traffic was incoming, we replaced it with a satalite reciever and dial-up for outgoing. Which has worked well for 8 months now.
