share folder access

by sue t . Updated 20 years, 4 months ago

The set up is Windows XP sp2, server is NT4 sp6. All computers have the same user account names and passwords. The computers are in a domain but users log on to the computer locally. I set up a shared folder on one of the computers but no one can access it from another computer when they have logged onto the computer locally but they can access it if they log on through the domain. When they try to access the folder when logged on to the computer locally they get a window say access denied and possibly not having permission. I need to find a way so users can log on to their computer locally and still be able to access the shared folder on the other computer. I know there must be a way in order to do this, but how?
