I have two domain controllers and of which has secured folder share (say folder with share$).
I want to make our backup server copy / replicate share folder(s)
I’ve used Computer Associates software to backup but cannot not see anywhere for share folders.
When I backup and restore to a different location I see that the folder has lost its share.
Now, I know its impossible to copy and paste shared folder due to permissions for that folder but I thought backup mechanism is different.
So guys i need help on how to backup share folders and restore with original settings.
Some have suggested to create a image of the drive that has these folders…but is that the only solution?
Anyone out there to help???
