We are using Exchange server 5.5 with Outlook 97 and Outlook 2000 clients.
I have created a “support” mailbox and given my tech support group access to it. They connect to it in Outlook as an additional mailbox under Services. The problem is that messages to this mailbox do not trigger the new message pop-up on their computers. If they don’t look at the mailbox, they don’t know there’s a message.
I want to leave the messages in the shared mailbox so I don’t have 5 people all respondingto the same message. Is there any way to set it up so that messages from the additional mailbox trigger the new message pop-up?
Also, they all have “Send As” privileges for this mailbox. Is there any way for the From field in a reply to defaultto the address the original message was sent to? (if a message was sent to “support”, I want the reply to come from “support”)
