shared printer error message

I had a hard time solving this trouble on shared printer. the message is "Printing properties cannot be displayed, operation could not be completed." Anyone please help me with this issue.. Thanks and more power...

What operating system, printer do you have etc, etc?

it's an XP, anyway my friend already know why the message keeps coming back, because it was my first encounter that the host pc is asking for user name and password before it would view the shared printer.. he just checked the "save password" box.. thanks for your concern my friend

Firewall / Invalid Host Address

Check your your host firewall setting...
check your host ip address and check your client setting for installed printer

Hi,
It my pleaser to give answer this question.
first you have to check it is network printer or it's connected by usb cable.if it is network printer check your printer ip.on the Client side check you printer ip is ping or not...if its pinging then go to start-printer-add printer-new printer wizard open -next-flow the instruction .you prob will solve...
if it is shared with host computer then you have to check client side spooler service is start or not..
