Shared Printers Invisible

By Simon Monaghan ·
I recently reinstalled SBS 2000 (Win2K Server). Now two shared printers on Win2K workstations cannot be seen on the network, not even by the server. No changes were made to the workstations. The shared printers were OK before the reinstall.

If you re-installed then your domain and users are different and the computer accounts for the 2 win2k's are gone. Have you had them join the domain again?

hmm

are you sure they are not shared with a \\printername$

you could try to use the ip address of the item
\\10.x.x.x and see if that works out..

Thanks a lot for the suggestions. The workstations are on the network, they van access server shares, the web & exchange ok. I've tried reinstalling the printers, and reinstalling the networking on the machines. Still no joy. The problem isn't anything obvious.
