Sharepoint calendar link to Outlook

By cheryl_lawrence ·
I have successfully linked a sharepoint calendar to be read in Outlook 2003. The site, server and the desktops are in the same time zone (Eastern Standard)and the data goes into the calendar properly. However, when the calendar is linked, the times reflect a different time - 3 hours ahead. The data is correct on the website. I have looked everywhere for solution.

question

have you changed your time zone on the outlook application?

If not, check to verify the time zone, on the Tools menu, click Options. Click Calendar Options, and then click Time Zone. Select the options that you want.

Time Zones

by cheryl_lawrence In reply to question

Thanks for responding - I appreciate it.

I did check the desktop, the virtual server site, and the actual server time zones - they are all set correctly.

If I set the server as pacific time zone with the correct local time - the link to the desktop outlook works fine - but that isn't a good thing for Kerberos. Confusing!!!! There must be something somewhere that just has kept the default pacific time zone - but I don't know where it could be - perhaps registry.
Extremely frustrated because the sharepoint calendar is such a good tool.

Hi Cheryl,

I face the same problem when (just repeating)

I linked a sharepoint calendar to be read in Outlook 2003

The site, server and the desktops are in the same time zone (Eastern Standard)and the data goes into the calendar properly.

when the calendar is linked, the times reflect a different time - 3 hours ahead. The data is correct on the website.

Please let me know how to fix this, I will look forward for your reply

Thanks
Arif
