Hi.. Now this is the situation..
I am working in a hospital and we are planning to have sharepoint site for our hospital.. as the main intranet portal and internet as well
we have two excellent servers – software license.. and Sharepoint site designer.. but our system administrator misses the knowledge of deploying and maintaining this technology.. and we don’t have any DB administrator.
I’m trying to put two scenarios for the sharepoint deployment..and compare between them..
first one: to do the hosting inhouse.. get a vendor to do the installation and training for our SA.
second: host the complete system in one of the hosting services such as (…. ) start with site designing directly and save the two servers we already have for another project/proposes..
but I am quite concerned about the security issue in each option…
since the sharepoint will be completely integrated with the AD.. and the cost issue as well..
Please share me your thoughts and advice..
