Sharing a workstation printer on W2k

By Borg7of9 ·
I am having problems sharing a printer on a windows 2000 pro station. The printer installes ok, and has a "ready" status, but on other stations and even its own netuse, it shows up as disconnected. When I try to print a test page, jobs show in the queue and keep looping, in other words re-printing, but nothing prints. Also in printer properties it I added it to directory services, and it says that it is "in progress"

Sharing a workstation printer on W2k

by hakim In reply to Sharing a workstation pri ...

does it show diconnected when you try to connect from other stations? do you have a user account on that Win2k Station for all your users who print to it? and I guess using netuse on the same machine will give you an error message you cannot connectto a shared printer on the same machine

hope this helps
