What am I doing wrong? I want multiple users to share an Access database file written in Access 97, but have some users in a read only folder and others with full rights. Some of the read only users have Access 97, others Access 2000. Sometimes it seems to work just fine, and other days the users on the Access 2000 machines get a message saying “the database that you are trying to open or convert is currently in use, or you do not have permission to open it exclusively.” After they acknowledge this message, they are back to ground zero, and they can never access the file. Help with any suggestions please. Thanks
