I am using Microsoft Outlook for Power
Mac Exchange Server Edition, version
8.2.2. I have an excel file that I am sharing
with both pc and mac users, using the
public folder option. The file is able to be
opened by everyone simutaneously, but
there is not way to know that someone
else has the file open. Except on the pc,
which indicates “read-only” after the file
name in the excel file. Each mac user
makes their changes and we end up with
several versions of the same document,
which causes a conflict in outlook. We
just want to be able to know that
someone else is using the document at
that time. Does anyone know how to get
the file to be read-only for the mac users
when someone else is using it?
