sharing files

how can i protect a shared file from a unwanted user in windows xp. on the other hand i want the file should be accessible to others.

Right click on the file(s) and click Properties. Then click Security. Modify permissions for users as needed.

thanks for this but if i want to add the users of other computer which is in my LAN. then what is the option. how can i add or remove them....

NTFS Permisions

Modify the share permissions and add the users and grant them proper permissions

As a thumb rule never grant FULL CoNTROL to anyone otherthan the administrator.
