Sharing folder using Rundll32 from comma

By FaisalMasood ·
Is there a way to share a folder using rundll32 on client PC as the user logs. I have to create & share a folder (eg: d:\user_data) on users Pc. Im missing just how to share it using the logon script.

Any suggestion.. I forgot the Rundll32 option.

Sure!
You can create a share using the NET SHARE command. The syntax is as follows:
NET SHARE <sharename>=<drive:path>
for more options, type "net share /?" at a command prompt window (without quotes).

Now, if you want to assign permissions other than the default EVERYONE-FULL COMTROL, you can use a command line tool from the NT Resource Kit called RMTSHARE. With this tool, you can even create shares on a remoter machine. For the syntex of this tool, look at this article http://www.windows2000faq.com/Articles/Index.cfm?ArticleID=14459.

Cheers!
